Theatre for People with Disabilities

Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, and to enjoy the arts and share in scientific advancement and its benefits’  United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948
One in 5 people in Australia have a profound or severe disability. However, there is little access to professional training and employment opportunities as performers.
We are starting to change this by working closely with organisations offering life skills and networking opportunities to people with disabilities. We intend to work towards building a strong following for our work leading to increased audience capacity and further employment opportunities for both the disabled and arts sectors within our community.
Visit our workshop pages for details of our current work or contact us to discuss a workshop for your organisation or group.
Our new Dance Ensemble classes in Brisbane CBD, Caboolture, Ipswich and Jindalee and our DanceFit class in Caboolture will be open to people with disability and many classes will be FREE. See our timetable here.

InsideOutside Theatre Company will be touring The Snow Queen as a pilot in 2015 and it’s a great time to get involved. We are looking for energetic, committed and enthusiastic emerging artists to take on a variety of roles including what may be the best female stage role in Brisbane next year – the Snow Queen herself.

We are also looking for make-up artists who are seeking to break into theatre to work alongside our experienced film and stage Chief make-up artist.
